The future of skills - which new skills are needed in our current world?
< Watch on Conference Livestream >
Digitisation drives and changes the knowledge in society. We are even experiencing a so perceived knowledge explosion that is constantly developing new insights, thoughts and ideas that everyone can access anytime and anywhere.
So what does it mean to create innovations in a world in which everything has already been thought about? What new skills do we need to find our way through the flood of information and use them for positive change?
John Davies talk will examine why we should expect there to be a growth in activities combining creative and digital technological skills in future. It will then discuss how countries can develop this area, based on the example of recent data science and policy work at Nesta that has focussed on how developments in Artificial Intelligence can be applied in the creative industries.
