Dr Daniel Thorpe
Daniel Thorpe studied Social and Cultural Anthropology, Southeast Asian Studies and Psychology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. He attained a master's degree in Science and Technology Studies at the University of Edinburgh and completed his doctorate on transnational knowledge and technology transfer.
Daniel has been teaching at Eindhoven University of Technology and is currently working at the newly founded Joint Innovation Hub at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovations Research in Karlsruhe. At the conference, he will talk about "Inspiring societal change through Cross Innovation as a dynamic and practically orientated concept" by first looking at a history of narratives towards technological innovation and by then discussing the opportunities and challenges in dealing with temporal, spatial and communicative elements in the transfer of knowledge and development of ideas.
Daniel Thorpe is member of the Advisory Council for the Cross Innovation Conference 2020.
